Maddy’s work is inherently political, with a strong emphasis on telling underrepresented stories.

Most recently, Maddy has been working at the Traverse Edinburgh with theatre company Slime & Pies_ on their production of KILL THE SECOND COMING WITH SLIME AND PIES by Ellen Bannerman.

Maddy’s debut verbatim production, MOTHER [SINGULAR], sold out its run at Platform Southwark, and was hailed as being ‘visionary’ for its portrayal of single mothers through their own words. SHE, a verbatim show exploring what gender means to young people today, was made with students from Croydon High Girls School and received critical acclaim at Edinburgh Fringe.

As a director/producer, Maddy has been awarded Arts Council funding twice, for TRADE’s debut in London, and most recently for the TRADE UK Tour.

She is an Alumni Mentor at The BRIT School.

Maddy trained at Drama Centre London (MA Directing) & The BRIT School (Theatre)
